The width and height you enter for the size of your vinyl lettering is the ORVERALL total size of the lettering. The height is the OVERALL HEIGHT, not a per letter height. It is from the highest point of the lettering to the lowest point. If you enter more than one line, the height is the TOTAL HEIGHT of all the lines combined. If you have an effect, the height is from the top of the effect to the bottom of the effect.
How these options appear on the design tool: 
Use this area to setup the exact dimensions of your sign. Remember that if you have a multi-line design your height will be applied to the entire sign not each line!
When your design is bigger then the area you plan to apply the sign, please unselect 'maintain proportions' then set your sign dimensions.
