Our company takes great pride in producing top quality lettering and signs for our customers at the most cost effective and affordable means possible. In order to break down our manufacturing process, we must first determine what goes into the making of these signs.
First and foremost, quality lettering is constructed in a pre spaced, self adhesive format. This means that your words are created in one sheet, opposed to cutting each individual letter separately. The reason for this is to ensure that when you are installing your words, the installation process is easy and quick.
Secondly, pre spaced letters will have adhesive applied to the back along with a protective backing paper to ensure the adhesive remains intact during shipping and prior to installing.
The differences between cheap lettering and a quality is the materials that are used for construction based on the intended application. A cheaper company will use vinyl that is of poor quality to save money which leads to less durability and reduced life expectancy. Other differences extend to the adhesive used to install the lettering. Cheap lettering will use adhesives that are not as durable and make installation more difficult. Waterproof and weatherproof solutions can be a very important part of these signs as well as the fact that in some cases a removable adhesive may be needed.
Durability
All these technical differences have a dramatic effect on the overall life expectancy of any vinyl display, but the biggest difference in our opinion that separates quality opposed to a cheaper product is by far the consulting and understanding of the intended use the customer has for their sign. A good sign company has the knowledge and care to understand the intended use of the sign and when there are concerns based on environmental conditions, contrast, sizing and other variables that may exist, a good sign company will help the customer by relaying concerns and potential solutions prior to producing the final product.
