Domed Vinyl Lettering
Domed vinyl lettering is a speciality process that isn't widely available. This is mostly because it is extremely time consuming involving a lot of labor. Vinyl lettering that domed is known by many names such as raised lettering, or drip molded resin coated. We just call it domed for short. When doming vinyl the lettering is prepared just like normal except before the application tape is applied it is coated in a curable resin. The process is tedious but makes for a great looking product when finished. The resin bonds physically to the surface of the lettering making it extremely difficult to remove, but remains totally transparent.
Metal Flake
You will notice there is a metal flake option in our vinyl lettering designer. The metal flake is slightly more expensive but looks awesome! We use actual automotive grade silver metal flake mixed into our doming resin. The resin is then applied like normal. Once completed you are left with a great looking set of domed lettering with metal flake. This is perfect for boats, but also works great for vehicles and windows.
